The Invisible Man
By Ralph Ellison
Ralph Ellison’s Invisible Man is a masterpiece of American literature. The novel depicts the life of a young African American man who moves to the North during the Harlem Renaissance era and faces numerous challenges while trying to find his place in society. The 10 illustrations that I have created aim to portray how the protagonist struggles with his tragic fate, as well as how racism acted as a barrier to his individual identity during the 1940s in the United States.
